What NOT to wear with floral:

Flowers are delicate, and dark heavy clutches will not match. Stay away from these:
  • Colorful floral clutches (it will clash with your dress)
  • Geometric prints and motifs
  • Dark heavy looking clutches, with strong/sharp edges
  • Faux fur / natural fur
  • Heavy embroidery
  • Chevron pattern
  • Neon colors
  • Snake/ exotic animals embossing
  • Animal print (leopard, zebra, cheetah...)
  • Feathers

What to wear with floral:

Opt for a chic summer clutch, with matching accents. The box shape always looks nicer.
Some options for floral dresses are tonal clutch with minimal texture, metal clutches, since they are easy to match, solid colors in leather, acrylic clutches, or if you want something more eye catching a wooden clutch will do.
  • Sequins
  • Straw (small pattern)
  • Solid leather
  • Box clutch with rounded edges
  • Acrylic clutches
  • Metallic clutch
  • Hand beaded (small/ tonal pattern)
  • Delicate Rhinestones
  • Crochet
  • Delicate fringe

Lace Dress:

What NOT to wear with lace:

  • Dark leather clutches, with heavy corners
  • Bright neon colors
  • Heavily embroidery motifs
  • Straw
  • Geometric patterns
  • Fur/Faux fur
  • Animal prints
  • Leather fringe

What to wear with lace:

If you are wearing a lace dress, opt for a more classic, toned down clutch.

The lace dress is already delicate and intricate, and you need to add pieces that will compliment your outfit, not fight for attention.

The ideal clutch to match this dress is a solid color beaded clutch, solid leather clutch in light hues, solid textile clutch with minimal or no texture, a clutch with very subtle metallic accents, acrylic pearlized clutch, or all gold or silver metallic clutch.

This is easier to type of dress match accessories. You just have to pay more attention to the shape of the clutch, than the color/texture itself.

The shape of your clutch needs to go well with the dress.
Is your dress more contemporary? More romatic with ruffles? Edgy, and modern? Find out what styles matches better with your dress, and shop for the clutch accordingly.

Also, some sillouettes are very easy to match with any type of dress, like the oval clutch.

The envelope clutch is more structured, so I would say it goes better with the comtemporary dress, not so much witht he romantic dress. Here's a few options:
